God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (iTunes)

Finally the song will see the light of day on iTunes in a couple weeks or so as a single. I’ll make sure to post the exact date of release when I know.

The full length Christmas album hopefully will be out in November this year (2012)!

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen is now on YouTube! I’m releasing it now to give an idea of what the album will sound like and to hear some feedback. It’s technically still in “Demo” form.

Please check the video out and “Like” it, comment on it and Share it! I’d really appreciate it.

Recording Blog Post #3

Song #3  “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” is completed! I have to say that this one is my favorite of the three so far. It took me the longest with all of the varying strings with each of their own melodic lines but it was SO WORTH IT.

Recording Blog Post #2

The second song is almost in the bag. I need to tweak some volume levels and change a bit of some original composition within the song to make it more cohesive. The song is “O Little Town of Bethlehem”. This one is very simple. Piano, Strings and a little bit of French Horns.

The video for the first song will have to wait a little. ETA will probably be in a week or two.

Recording Blog Post #1

The first song (O Come O Come Emmanuel) is finished. After 3 days of recording, mixing and mastering it’s finally done. It definitely has an “Enya sound” to it. I’ll probably throw it into a video and post it to youtube in the next few days.

Next up… second song! Update on that soon…

New Album in the Works

Right now I’m “kicking around” ideas on which songs I want to write versions of for my next album. It will definitely be a Christmas themed album (like O Night Divine) with at least one original and the rest being my take on Traditional Advent/Christmas songs. It should be out around Thanksgiving… at least that’s what I’m shooting for. Recording starts next week!

Here are the songs I’m planning on recording. Not sure if all of them will make the cut though.

1 – Once in Royal David’s City

2 – Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence

3 – Of the Father’s Love Begotten

4 – In the Bleak Midwinter

5 – Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle

6 – Come Thou Fount

7 – The Coventry Carol

8 – Bring a Torch, Jeanette Isabella

9 – All Creatures of Our God and King

10 – O Come, O Come Emmanuel

11 – Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming

12 – O Sanctissima

13 – The Holly and the Ivy

14 – The Huron Carol

15 – O Come All Ye Faithful

16 – Untitled (An Original Song)
